CEAAC – the European Centre for Contemporary Art Projects

CEAAC sets out to increase awareness of contemporary art, provide support for regional artists and encourage international exchanges.

CEAAC is an association set up in 1987 at the behest of local elected authorities with the aim of bringing contemporary art to a wider public within the region.

The centre's program has a threefold objective:

  • Increasing awareness and the dissemination of contemporary art among a wider public, including young people, by taking artworks out into the open, staging exhibitions in its arts centre and providing artistic input for local authorities.
  • Providing support for artists in the region, by providing studios, awarding prizes and offering grants for specific artistic projects
  • Encouraging international exchanges through residencies and exhibitions.
