The Union Nationale de l'entreprise, the "Hortis" association and the "Observatoire des villes vertes" work together to draw up an annual price list of the “green cities” in France. On March 14, 2017, the "Observatoire des villes vertes" (Observatory for Green Cities) awarded the third prize to Strasbourg.
The challenge is mainly the content of the biodiversity policy and the environmental protection measures undertaken by the municipalities.
In order to move this price, the Observatory is particularly concerned with the innovative measures taken by the cities, which are responsible for preserving nature in urban areas.
